We rolled up at the quayside, met with a hearty islander greeting and boarded the boat for the quick jaunt across to Loch Coruisk. A wee dander round the inlet... read more where we saw a seal colony basking in the sun (I know, sun in the isles!). We then went across and docked so we could start our walk. The sights were beyond belief, gorgeous water, the Cuillins and just a calm, peaceful place to walk. We returned to the boat after 90 minutes and were given a hot drink for the return trip. Only downside being the midges (bring your spray) but what is the west coast without them? Definitely do it again next year.

We did the Maxi tour (left at 11 and back at 16:30) which gave us just the right amount of time to walk around the loch, eat lunch and relax for 30 mins when we got back. We also got the added bonus of a quick stop off to see the seals on the way to the loch. A free cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate on the way back which was a nice touch.

Overall reasonably priced and our dog went free. Highly recommended.

Some passengers... read more saw porpoises and saw a whole pod of Dolphins on the way back some even saw a potential minke whale. We were dropped on a beautiful bay by the Cuillins and were a short walk from Loch Coruisk which was beautiful. We had beautiful weather and were also shown a common seal colony with a grey seal in the mix. We were offered hot drinks and biscuits on the return journey. All in all could not have asked for a better trip. Thank you!!

  Absolutely fabulous day out with Misty Isle Boat Trips. Would recommend giving yourself plenty of time to arrive at Elgol.
The trip across was fabulous, Sandy and Seamus... read more pointed out a Minky whale and redirected the boat so everyone could see it. We also saw loads of seals as we arrived at Loch Coriusk
Loch Coriusk was breath-taking (the weather may have helped). It would have been lovely to stay longer and explore but we used most of our time up spotting whales so on balance a good choice.
On the way back we spotted porpoises, to end a lovely day out.

Hot choc and biscuit was a welcome bonus.
In addition, Roderick kindly guided me around the bogs to see the cave where Bonnie Prince Charlie was hidden prior to him fleeing back to France.

  Excellent trip, a pleasant trip to the mountain range and back. Coupled with great historical knowledge told by one of the skippers. Breathtaking views, would highly recommend
